Hello from the beautiful country of Nicaragua! We have all safely made it to our final destination of Nindirà and are settling in after a long but successful travel day.
We started our day bright at early at DCA with our first flight to Miami. In typical MU DPT 2019 class style we had a quick turn around to hop on our final leg into Managua. While we were exhausted and hungry the excitement definitely kept us going as we made our way through customs and got our passports officially stamped! With a quick bus ride through the scenic backroads we arrived at the beautiful Victoriana Estancia hotel.
Finally we got to spend our afternoon eating at the local bar and walking around exploring the town of NindirÃ. We ended our evening with a wonderful introduction to our hosts and an amazing meal prepared for us.
We may be very tired but we are very happy, full, and excited about what lays ahead for the next 2 weeks!
